Baklava

Ingredients

Baklava

  • 40 phyllo sheets
  • 1 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup pistachios
  • chopped4 ½ cups walnuts 1/3 cup granulated white sugar 1 tbsp ground cinnamon ¼ tsp ground cardamom For the syrup: 2 ½ cup granulated white sugar 1 ½ cup water 2/3 cup honey 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tsp ground cinnamon ¼ tsp ground cloves 1 tbsp orange blossom

Filling

  • 4 ½ cups walnuts
  • 1/3 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cardamom

Syrup

  • F2 ½ cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 ½ cup water 2/3 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tbsp orange blossom

Steps

  1. Place one layer of phyllo sheet at the bottom of the mold and paint it with melted butter.
  2. Place a second layer on top and brush again.
