Basil Ice Cream
This homemade Basil Ice cream is as delicious as easy to make.
Ingredients
Basil Ice Cream
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1.5 ounces (3 tablespoon) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1 1.4 cups heavy cream
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 1 large handful of fresh basil leaves, roughly torn into small pieces
For the Honey Pine Nut Pralines
- 1 cup pine nuts
- 2 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
Steps
- Mix 2 tablespoons of the milk with the cornstarch in a small bowl to make a smooth slurry.
- Whisk the cream cheese and salt in a medium bowl until smooth.
