Ingredients
Braised Short Ribs
- 6 bone-in short ribs (about 3 packages or 5 3/4 pounds)
- Kosher salt
- 3 Tbs Great Value Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 box (8 oz) Freshness Guaranteed Diced Yellow Onions, or 1 yellow onion cut into ½ inch pieces.
- 2 ribs Marketside Organic Celery Stalk, cut into ½ inch pieces
- 2 Marketside Organic Carrots, peeled, cut in 1/2 lengthwise, then cut into ½ inch pieces
- 3 oz. dried mushrooms of your choice, optional*
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed and peeled
- 1 1/2 cups Great Value Tomato Paste
- 2 to 3 cups hearty red wine
- 2 cups Great Value Organic Beef Broth
- 1 bunch fresh thyme, tied with kitchen string
- 2 Organic Great Value Bay Leaves
Mashed Potatoes
- 2lbs Marketside Organic Gold Potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes*
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed*
- 4 Tbs Great Value Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 cup Great Value Whole Milk
- 1/4 cup Great Value Heavy Whipping Cream
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Heat a 6-10 qt Dutch oven over medium high heat on the stove top.
