Braised Turkey Legs

Thanksgiving dinner will be a breeze this year thanks to Frankie’s struggle tips for a delicious holiday meal. From a simple turkey entree to a new twist on a classic dessert, Frankie makes a feast without unstuffing his wallet.


  • 6 turkey drumsticks
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 6 cups chicken stock
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary
  • 2 sprigs of sage
  • 2 dijon mustard packets (2 teaspoons)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon minced parsley leaves


  1. Pat the turkey legs dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large dutch oven over medium high heat. Working in batches, add the turkey legs to the dutch oven and cook until crisp and golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
