Chocolate Caramel Crepe Cake

Ingredients
Chocolate Cake
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3/4 cup canola oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Chocolate Frosting
- 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
- 5 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 cup cocoa powder, sifted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Crepes
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 10 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Caramel Sauce
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup heavy cream, heated
- 4 tablespoons butter
Steps
- For the chocolate cake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium bowl, combine all the dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk together all the wet ingredients. Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients a bit at a time, whisking slowly in between. Be careful not to over mix.
