Matcha Tiramisu
Give a classic, creamy Italian dessert a refreshing twist by substituting espresso for green tea.
Ingredients
Matcha Mixture
- 1 3/4 cups boiling water
- 1/3 cup sugar
- Generous 1 tablespoon matcha powder, plus extra for dusting
Cream
- 1 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon water
- 4 medium egg yolks
- 1 1/2 cups mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream, chilled
- About 50 crisp Italian ladyfinger cookies
Steps
- For the matcha mixture, whisk together boiling water, sugar and matcha powder in a shallow bowl until well combined.
- Set aside to cool.
