Gingerbread Lambeth Cake

Ingredients

Lambeth Design

  • Dragees
  • Peppermint candies
  • 2 Candy Canes
  • 1 Chocolate bar
  • Brown gel food dye
  • pink gel food dye
  • green gel food dye

Spiced Cake

  • 2 ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cup cake flour
  • 4 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon allspice
  • ¼ teaspoon clove
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 4 each large eggs
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • ¾ cup sour cream

American Buttercream

  • 2 Sticks Of Butter, Unsalted At Room Temp
  • 16 Ounces Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 1/4 Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Pinch of Salt

Steps

  1. Once cakes are completely cooled and leveled, you can start filling and stacking my cakes.
  2. Put your first cake on a cake board on a turntable and add about 1 cup of buttercream to the cut top of the cake, spreading it out over the edges. When it is even and level, add the next cake.
