Katsu curry

Ingredients

CURRY

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 carrots, slices
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp curry powder or paste
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 cups broth
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

KATSU

  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 1 cup panko
  • 1 tsp sal
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 lb pork meat
  • Oil to fry
  • 1 cup cooked rice

Steps

  1. In a sheet pan with hot oil, add garlic, ginger and onion, cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the curry paste, sugar, broth, water, soy sauce, sugar and cornstarch, stir well.
