Ingredients

Ketchup and Mustard Cake

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons natural red food coloring
  • Mini hamburger gummies

“Mustard” frosting

  • 6 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground turmeric
  • 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • Yellow food coloring

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 2 9-inch cake pans and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together dry ingredients. Set aside.
