Matcha Magic Cake

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 4 large egg yolks, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon matcha green tea powder
  • 2 cups milk, lukewarm
  • Confectioner's sugar, for dusting


  1. Beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  2. Place the egg yolks and sugar in a bowl and beat until they lighten in color.
