Mini Sorting Hat Cakes

Ingredients
- Cupcake:
- 125 grams butter
- 300 grams caster sugar
- 3 medium eggs
- 300 grams plain flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200 milliliters whole milk
- Red, green, blue and yellow gel food color
- Buttercream:
- 450 grams Icing sugar
- 150 grams unsalted butter
- 35-40 milliliters whole milk
- Chocolate fondant
Steps
- In a large bowl beat together the sugar and butter until creamy. Beat in the eggs one at a time making sure they are well incorporated after each addition.
- Sift over the flour, baking powder and salt and beat until the mixture almost comes together. Pour in the vanilla extract and milk and beat until well combined making sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl.
