Orange-Yellow / Onion Skins

Color your eggs the safe and easy way with onion skins, red cabbage, blueberries, beets and turmeric.


  • Yellow onion skins
  • Raw eggs
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar


  1. Wrap onion skins around raw eggs, covering the entire egg. Wrap tightly with cheesecloth, gather ends, and secure with string.
  2. Bring water and vinegar to a boil in a small pot set over medium-high heat. Gently place prepared eggs in pot, and boil 30 minutes.
