Pear Galette

Money can be tight around the holidays. From the $3 cookies you will have to try to believe, to a show-stopping $25 trifle, Mia has got you covered - just because you’re on a budget doesn’t mean you have to skimp on style or taste!


  • 3 pears
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup apricot jam
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 egg, for wash
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract


  1. Remove the puff pastry from the wrapping and place onto floured surface.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry slightly, to remove the creases and make it just a touch thinner and place it onto a parchment lined baking tray.
