Rainbow Cake

Ingredients
Rainbow Cake
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cornstarch
- 6 large egg whites
- 6 large egg yolks
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup + 6 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Buttercream
- 2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 5 cups confectioner's sugar
- Pink, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple food coloring
Steps
- Combine the flour and cornstarch in a small bowl.
- Beat the egg yolks, vanilla extract and 3/4 cup sugar with an electric mixer on high speed until thick and pale. Set aside.
