Salted Almond Toffee

‘Tis the jolly season of giving, but this year, there will be no more struggles in making your list and checking it twice. Frankie’s festive, budget-friendly treats are the sweetest way to tell your friends and family you love them.


  • 1 ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 ½ cup chopped almonds
  • 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt


  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add the butter, both sugars and 6 tablespoons of water to a small saucepan. Cook over medium low heat while stirring, until the sugar is dissolved. Turn up the heat to medium and cook the mixture at a rapid simmer for 10 minutes without stirring. It is ready when it becomes a dark amber color.
