Slow Cooker Pot Roast
When you're craving the tastiest, most tender pot roast, look no further than your slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 4-5 pounds chuck roast
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup red wine
- 2 whole onions
- 8 carrots
- 4 celery ribs
- 3 potatoes
- 2 cups beef stock
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 2 bay leaves
Steps
- Rub oil, salt and pepper all over the chuck roast.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the roast on all sides. Set aside.
