Sushi Cones (Temaki) 3-Ways

Sushi cones are on a roll! Here are 3 fun ways to make temaki.

Ingredients

Rice

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 5 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Roasted nori sheets

Spicy Tuna

  • Sushi-grade tuna, cubed
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon mayo
  • Scallions, shredded
  • Cucumber, seeded and cut into strips
  • Black sesame seeds

Salmon Tsunami

  • Sushi-grade salmon, sliced into strips
  • Salmon roe
  • Salmon skin
  • Scallion
  • Soy sauce
  • Sesame oil

California

  • Imitation crab
  • Avocado, thinly sliced
  • Cucumber, seeded cut into strips
  • Seaweed strips
  • Black and white sesame seeds

Steps

  1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions. In a small bowl, combine vinegar, sugar, and salt. Once the rice has slightly cooled, gradually pour and fold the mixture into the rice.
  2. Prepare all the fillings.
