Tiny Sage and Butter Gnocchi

These may be the cutest savory potato dumplings ever.


  • 2 tablespoons mashed potato
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 of whisked quail egg
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 sage leaf, chopped


  1. Cook and mash the potato. Mix the potato and flour; stir in egg.
  2. Kneed dough for 2 minutes, roll into a long, thin rope and cut into 1/8-inch pieces. Add pieces to boiling water and cook for 2 minutes; strain.
