Tiramisu Doughnuts

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 2 large eggs + 1 large yolk
- 1 tablespoon espresso powder
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Tiramisu Cream
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup espresso, cooled to room temperature
- Topping: Grated dark chocolate and powdered sugar
Steps
- Heat milk and water until warm; stir in sugar and active yeast. Let it sit until mixture is foamy.
- Pour the yeast mix into a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment.
