Tiramisu Doughnuts

We just transformed your favorite Italian dessert into a fluffy, cream cheese-stuffed doughnut perfect for breakfast ... or whenever.

Ingredients

Doughnuts

  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 2 large eggs + 1 large yolk
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Tiramisu Cream

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup espresso, cooled to room temperature
  • Topping: Grated dark chocolate and powdered sugar

Steps

  1. Heat milk and water until warm; stir in sugar and active yeast. Let it sit until mixture is foamy.
  2. Pour the yeast mix into a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment.
