Ingredients
Tofu Chawanmushi (Steamed Savory Custard)
- 200 grams silken tofu
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon instant dashi powder (Japanese soup stock)
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon potato starch
- Salt
- 30 grams chicken
- 1 shiitake mushroom
- 4 shrimp, washed and peeled
- Mitsuba, cut into 2 centimeters length
- 4 slices carrot, peeled and cut into a flower shape
Sauce
- 4 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon instant dashi (Japanese soup stock)
- 1/2 teaspoon potato starch
Steps
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Cut off the stem of the shiitake mushroom and slice into 6.
- Combine egg, dashi powder, water, potato starch and salt in a bowl and mix well.
