Bright Cider Life with Sommelier Vinny Eng and Winemaker Krista Scruggs (Livestream Benefit for SF New Deal)
San Francisco, CA
Join Vinny Eng, SF New Deal Community Organizer and Food and Wine Sommelier of the Year, and farmer, forager, and fermenter Krista Scruggs for an all natural (and delicious) discussion on fermented juice, collaborating across boundaries and advancing equity in food systems. --- Vinny Eng (one of Food & Wine's 2019 sommeliers of the year) looks far beyond what’s in the bottle, taking into account the people who make the wine. He celebrates diversity from all angles—in the winemakers themselves, the regions in which they work, the grapes they use—in service to a philosophy devoted to finding beauty everywhere. --- The Memorial Day Weekend "Chefstival" brings together over a dozen of the Bay Area's top chefs to host one-of-a-kind interactive cooking classes through ChefsFeed Experiences. Half of all ticket proceeds go directly to the host chefs and their staff, the other half goes to the nonprofit SF New Deal. SF New Deal is a nonprofit that partners with small businesses and community organizations to provide income for workers and meals for neighbors in need. They directly fund restaurants, keeping businesses open, workers employed, and vulnerable people fed.
