Workin’ on My Nightburger with Chef Kim Alter of Nightbird (Livestream Benefit for SF New Deal)
LivestreamSan Francisco, CA
Join Kim Alter (chef/owner of Nightbird and the Linden Room) as she shares the signature Parker House Roll recipe from Nightbird. She'll walk you through making and proofing the dough, shaping, baking, and how to turn the buttery rolls into the ultimate slider for your Memorial Day Weekend spread. Bonus: Kim will show you how to make one of the most popular cocktails at the Linden Room, "the Impeachmint," a potent mix of peach, mint, and bourbon. --- Kim Alter (2018 Best Chef: West Nominee and Food & Wine Nominee for Best New Chef) is the chef/owner of Nightbird and adjoining Linden Room. She formerly worked with the Daniel Patterson Group for three years at the helm of kitchens such as Haven (Best New Restaurant) and Plum (Bib Gourmand) in Oakland, California. Prior to that, she has worked in some of the Bay Area’s most notable restaurant kitchens including Manresa, Ubuntu, Aqua, and Acquerello. Her food often takes familiar dishes to new places with creative spins on classics. --- The Memorial Day Weekend "Chefstival" brings together over a dozen of the Bay Area's top chefs to host one-of-a-kind interactive cooking classes through ChefsFeed Experiences. Half of all ticket proceeds go directly to the host chefs and their staff, the other half goes to the nonprofit SF New Deal. SF New Deal is a nonprofit that partners with small businesses and community organizations to provide income for workers and meals for neighbors in need. They directly fund restaurants, keeping businesses open, workers employed, and vulnerable people fed.
