Shawn Harrison is a Charlotte, NC native and head chef at Charlotte's 'vegetarian gem' Fern. He has worked in many different restaurants over his eclectic 12-year career, soaking up knowledge from each experience. His most recent endeavor is his all vegan pop-up dining series, Tephra, which is defined as 'solid matter ejected during a volcanic eruption.' He is a member of the Piedmont Culinary Guild, a platform used to connect innovative chefs, farmers, and artisans. His main passion is to elevate both plant-based and southern cuisines, effectively putting his hometown on the vegan culinary map.
