Hi there! I'm Shira. I recently moved to my own place, in part so that I could host more dinner parties. I love hosting friends, new and old, in my home and think that young people in NY do not entertain enough. There is something special about welcoming someone into your space, rather than meeting at a restaurant. You not only share food, but your home. As a host, I like to provide healthy, nourishing food, and try to make at least some part of the food-making participatory, so that everyone can feel like they have contributed. And of course, no dinner party is complete without some sort of game. My friends laugh at me because they say I am 'such a teacher', but hey, that's what I do, and that's who I am, and I'm okay with it!
