- Hi, I'm Chef Ludo. - And Elmo is Chef Elmo. - I'm a professional chef and cookbook author. - Elmo can count to 20. What's that machine? She's shaking all kinds of stuff on it. Oh, it's a man, woops. Mix it all up. Can we watch it again? Mr. Ludo? - [Chef] No, way! - [Elmo] Mr. Ludo! - What are you doing in the kitchen today? - Elmo wanted to help you cook. - You look like a chef, Elmo. - [Elmo] Thank you. - You look great. - Okay, so let's get this recipe started, okay, Mr. Ludo? So Elmo saw a video earlier that was telling Elmo how to make the recipe and Elmo's got it all right here. They put a vegetable through a machine and then they, like, cranked it, and then it turned out curly. And then it was like spaghetti. - So it's like you want to do some noodles, vegetable noodles. - You got it baby. - [Chef] Yeah so, I think it's zucchini. Okay, okay, chef. May I call you Chef Elmo or just Elmo? - Of course you can. - Chef Elmo. - Let's see, Elmo's gotta check it and make sure. - Do you like them? - Wonderful. Now, the next ingredient. What was it, what was it? Oh, Elmo knows. Be right back. Okay, okay now. Let's see bistro shrimp, bistro shrimp. Oh, there it is. Mr. Ludo! - [Chef] Yes Elmo? - Little help please. Yeah, Elmo can't reach. - I'll get it, I'll get it. - Thank you, Mr Ludo. Whew, that's a heavy door. Now, we need to cook the shrimps. - Want me to cook the shrimp? - Yeah, so in the video, they put the shrimps in the pan, and then they put like this sort of slippery yellow stuff. - That's butter, no? Butter, no? - Like watery stuff. - This is like olive oil? - That sounds right. Is that olive oil? Let's see. - Yeah. Smell. Haha, it's very good, huh? - Wonderful. - [Chef] So fruity, so good. - [Elmo] Oh wait a minute. Hold on, hold the phone. We forgot a crucial, crucial, crucial part of this. You have to put the, what is it called, zucchini? - [Both] Zucchini. - You have to put the zucchini through a machine and then you crank it like . And it comes out all curly. Let's see, bring it over here. Let's see. Elmo's gotta make sure that's right. Elmo's just checking your work. - There you go, that's it, that's it, that's it. Mr. Ludo, you did it. Then they put all this sort of shaky stuff. Some of it was like red, and looked kind of like peppers. But little flakes of pepper. - Ah, the chili flake? - [Elmo] Chili flake. - You want some chili flake? - [Elmo] Yes please. - Wooo, yeah it's gonna be spicy, yeah? - Wooo. - You like spicy food. Elmo? - [Elmo] Elmo loves spicy food. - [Elmo] And you know what? - What? - There's another ingredient that Elmo would really like you to put in. And it's Elmo's favorite food ever, ever, ever. You know what it is? Wasabi. - Wasabi? - Elmo loves Wasabi. That's why Elmo doesn't have any eyelids. - Very green. - Very green, let's see. Let's see. Let's smell. - Oh la la. - Ohhhh. Yeah baby. - Yeah baby, mine's gonna wake up for sure. - Hold on, wait a minute. = Okay. - Elmo forgot something. - You have all the ingredients? - No. - What are you missing? - Shaky cheese. - Shaky cheese. I don't know what shaky cheese, I'm not American. I'm French, and I don't use it in French. Shaky cheese? - Shaky cheese that when you eat spaghetti. And when Elmo's mommy says, "Would you like the shaky cheese?" And Elmo says, "Yes please." - You want some Parmesan? - Parmesan, Parmesan? Elmo doesn't know that word. - Parmesan? - Oh, that's some smelly cheese. - Yes. - But that's gonna be great. Now wait a minute, hold on. We have to make it shaky. That's incredible. - Like a snow. - Do you see that, everybody? Look at that. - Let it snow, let it snow. - Oh the shaky cheese is delightful. Now let's see, did we get everything? Oh wait a minute. Some green, leafy stuff. - Elmo, parsley. - Was is it, parsley? - Parsley. - Parsley. - Let's see. - Smell. - That smells really nice. - Okay, so we do that. We good? - That's everything. - We have the shrimp, we have the olive oil, the parsley, the cheese, the Wasabi, your zucchini. - Uh huh. - Anything missing, we good? - In the video, they put the yellow slippery stuff, what is it, oil? - Okay. So you going to tell me to stop, or just yeah? - Okay, so put it in. Okay. - Stop? - No, it's fun to watch. - Yeah but you need to tell me to stop. Elmo? - Yeah but it looks cool. - I know, but Elmo, it's gonna be swimming in oil now. - That's really liquidy. - Yeah, we have a lot of oil now, I'll stop. - Nice color, Mr. Ludo. - We will stop. - Okay. - Now you want me to do your noodles zucchini, correct? - Uh huh, boy cooking is a lot of work. - Elmo, yes. - Can we just eat it? - No Elmo, no. - Is it ready yet? - Be patient. - What's that mean? - Be patient. - What does that mean? - Uh wait. So we put that like this? - Yeah that looks right, that looks right. - Zucchini like this okay. - This is the cool part, watch everybody. Make sure you watch this, it's very cool. - Okay, ready Elmo? - [Elmo] Uh huh, ready. There it is, it's just like the video. Yay. You did it. Keep going. Whoa. That's really cool. Can we eat the zucchini? Elmo's gonna eat the zucchini. - Look at this, Elmo. - Ahhh. - See that? - That's a lot of zucchini. - That's a lot, huh? For you and me, no? It's not just for you. - Oh. - Oh, yeah hello. - Okay, sure Oh here it goes again. - [Chef] Extra virgin olive oil, okay Elmo? - Look at that, that's beautiful. Do some more. - A little bit more, Elmo it's too much oil after. Boom, that's it. Okay, enough now. - Okay. Moderation. - Turn on the heat. - Let's fire it up, baby. - Not too much, we don't want to burn the oil, okay? - Okay. - Okay, the shrimp, where's the shrimp? I'll put some salt okay? So make sure when your sizzling, you make sure you put the salt everywhere on the shrimp. - Uh huh, you've done this before. - Okay. - Elmo didn't see this part. Didn't do this in the video. They didn't do it, they didn't do this in the video. - Oh really? - But Elmo trusts you because you're a chef. - You're gonna have to say that one more time. What'd you say? - I'm taking the towel. - Towel. - We're going to cook the shrimp now. - Yes, we'll cook the shrimps now. - It's hot, it's sizzling. - [Elmo] It's sizzling, yeah. - So here we go. - [Elmo] Okay. - Because you know cooking is about to use your ear. You cook a lot with your ear. The sounds, the kitchen. - Really? - Yeah. - Elmo didn't see people listening to oil on the video. - [Chef] Elmo, we have the shrimp, focus. Eyes on the shrimp, okay? - Okay Elmo's focused. In the video, they put them in, and then they shook the pan a little bit. - Shake it like this? - And it was done. - Like this? - Yes, that looks right. Try it, let's see. - So like this? - Yeah, uh huh. Uh huh, uh huh. - Wow, look Elmo. - Woahh. - That's like the video? - Yeah, that's good. - Good. - And now they put, Elmo thinks they put the zucchinis in there. - Now? - [Elmo] Yeah let's see what happens. - Okay, I put in the zucchini now. - Uh huh. Uh huh. And now it's time to do the shaky cheese. - Shake it again, the cheese? Ahh, I put the cheese now? - Yes. - Okay, you tell me to stop, huh? - Okay. - That's a lot of cheese Elmo. More, more, more Elmo? - Huh? - More? - Oh you can stop now. - Thank you, chef. - You're welcome. You know what? - What? - Elmo almost forgot. - What do we do, Elmo? - Lemon. They put lemon skin on it. - Okay, like this? - Yeah. That's good. We need something else. What was the vegetable that makes people's breath smell bad? What was that? - That's garlic. - Garlic, garlic. - You need garlic on that? - Yeah, Elmo forgot, sorry. It's a lot of stuff to remember. Elmo's only three and a half. - How you want it, whole, cut, chopped, sliced? - Oh no. - Minced? - What? - Minced? - What does that mean? - Minced is minced, like very, very fine cut, very fine. - That one, that one, that one. Yes. - You stress me now. - Oh god, Elmo feels the pressure now. - So we can go chop like this, Elmo. - [Elmo] Yes, and then you put it in. Then you put in the chili flakes. You remember the chili flakes? And then okay, and then the parsley, the parsley. - Parsley. How do you want the parsley? Chopped, whole? - Chopped. Ha. - Really fine. - Boy, you do that very well. That's good. Then put that in. Smells really nice. - Actually, it smells good. - Yeah. - It smells good, Elmo. - The very last thing, the very last thing. And this is Elmo wants to put this in. This is ELmo's special request, the Wasabi, baby! - I don't get that, but okay. You want Wasabi, okay. - Well, let's try. We will experiment. Just a little bit. Whoa. That Wasabi's crazy. - Oh it's gonna be like crazy. - It's really pretty. - So what do we do now? - [Elmo] Maybe you shake it more. - Elmo, voila. - [Elmo] Shake it, shake it baby. - Smell that. - That's incredible. That's incredible. - It's very good smelling. Good job on that. - Okay, so we can just eat it out of the pan, right? - No, we go to plate, okay? - Oh plate, of course. - Wow, I don't know if we have enough for you, Elmo. Just enough for me. Okay, we'll share. - Mhm, sharing is very important. - Zucchini now, okay. - Boy look at that. Wow. - Oh my god, mayday. - This is gonna be like a Lady and the Tramp moment. - God. - What are you doing, is that a magic trick? - I don't know. - Are you gonna pull a rabbit out of that pan? Yeah, there we go. There we go. Beautiful. - [Chef] This is the one we make. And this is the one we tried to make. - [Elmo] Right. So can we try them now? - I think we need to try it now, and see which one is better. - Elmo will let you go first. - Okay. Elmo, zucchini, Elmo. Ahh. Mmm. - It's good? - That's pretty good, actually. - Really? - It's crunchy. It's a little spicy. Very wet zucchini. Mmm. - You want to try, no? - Yeah, Elmo would love to try. - Elmo's gonna get a fork. Ohh, that's good. That's yummy. - I really, really love the zucchini. I would never do that. I would never put Wasabi like this with zucchini and shrimp. Never. - Really? - No, this is a good job. - That was Elmo's contribution. - Very good, too, this one. Very good, too. Just a little bit less spicy, because you attached the Wasabi. - Yeah. - Let me know one day you look for a job, you can come cook with me. - Really? Can Elmo help you cook? - Yeah. - Elmo would love that. Elmo could be like an apprentice to you. - I think I prefer ours. - Yes, ours is better. - This is good food. It's a great dish, Elmo. - Yeah, well Elmo's glad that we made it together. - Yeah? You gave me some good direction. - Thank you for helping Elmo. You taught Elmo a lot of different things like mincing and chopping. - You know what I learned from you? - Hmm? - The shaky cheese. - The shaky cheese. - The shaky cheese, I never heard about that before. You confuse me so. I didn't know what you were talking about. - Well thank you very much. - Thank you, okay. Bye Elmo, I'll give you a kiss. - Hug. - Okay, and Elmo keep cooking. - [Elmo] Okay. - Good job. - You too. - Bye, bye Elmo. - Boy, he's good.
