- Today, we talk to Stephanie Beatriz. And then why did the chicken cross the road? I went undercover to find out. My guest today stars as Detective Rosa Diaz on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Please welcome Stephanie Beatriz. - Hi! - Now you're probably more famous among TV viewers for that one. - Yes, that's probably the only reason that anybody knows who I am. Is that TV show. - Well I mean, there's this interview. - Yes, there's also this. - So have you ever considered spinning off Brooklyn Nine-Nine? I mean maybe Rosa Diaz, she moves to Portland and her partner is hard nosed, hard shell taco. He's got a past, she's got a past, but there's a future together. A crime-solving future. - You know, I would have to see the script. - Oh great, yeah, no, no, no, I'll have my people contact your people. Mom, if you're watching this can you send Stephanie's agent that giant box of scripts in my room? Don't poke around too much, though, in there. Now if you could, arrange some kind of like crossover between Brooklyn Nine-Nine and any show? - Game of Thrones. - This something you have put thought and possibly fanfiction scripts into. - I mean it wouldn't make any sense, in any way shape or form. However, I would love to be on all those sets. Do you know they shoot like in Balta? Come on! - You'd do a cross over just so you could go to Saint Bart's and Ibiza? - Hell yeah! - I think Rosa Diaz would do okay. - Rosa would make it for sure. - And now, a word from our spenser. Wait guys, that can't be right. Wow, what a great commercial, that was, maybe? I don't know, we don't see those in the studio. I love your shirt. - There's little cactuses on it. - Yeah, it's very like American Southwest. Did you plan that? Were you like, oh it's a taco. - Yeah, it was taco themed. - So how do you feel about tacos? - I mean, I'm from Texas, so-- - Yeah but I mean, Texas isn't famous for tacos. It's famous for deep dish pizza. I'm pretty sure. - I think you have that incorrect. There's a type of food called Tex-Mex. It's specifically built around tacos. - And then they're placed into a big pan with dough and covered in sauce and then you just bake 'em. So you've been on a lot of sets, Stephanie. I think people want to know, of all the sets you've been on, what's the best sandwich you've ever had? - So, I've had some really good, I think they're called Bahn Mi? - Bahn Mi? - Bahn Mi? Is that how you say it? - I think it's a state of mind. You know you can say - Oh I like that. - It in whatever way. - Did you ever eat Monte Cristo sandwiches? - Oh yeah, I do a think called a Monte Carlo sandwich. - What's that? - I bet a friend $700,000 as to whether or not I could eat a Monte Cristo sandwich. And I've won almost every time. We gamble a lot on the set of Lettuce Investigate. The cop show that you and I are gonna star in together. - You should get used to it - Oh my god, the name! The name really sold me, I wasn't really onboard but the name pushed it over the edge for me. - Now, you are a member of the L.A. City Municipal Dance Squad. - That's right. - I mean is that official? - We are not supported or licensed by the city in anyway, like we're not the Laker Girls. We're like the Laker Girls, if the Laker Girls didn't practice too much and also were hilarious. - Could you guys take them? In a fight? - The Laker Girls? Oh yeah. - Like straight up, - For sure. - Would you guys beat the Laker Girls? - For sure. - I don't think I've ever attended a dance practice that I didn't bring, like a blade. It's dangerous. Now I was wondering, could we really quickly play a game that we on this show call Bean There, Done That. Roll that graphics. - Where's the graphics? - Guys, roll that graphics. Stephanie, we don't have a graphics package yet for Bean There, Done That. And I've never bean so embarrassed. Stephanie, thank you so much for coming on. - Thank you for having me. - I also have a hard time ending interviews. - Oh, okay.
