Tomàs sits down with his old Princeton schoolmate (for all of two weeks) Tommy Dewey, co-star of Hulu’s original series Casual where they casually chat about Tomàs’ interest in charms and potions, his criminal past and Tommy’s former goal of becoming an international spy — possibly alongside James Bond.

- Today, we talk to Tommy Dewey. And then, which hurts more? Receiving a face tattoo, or removing one? Either way, I'm about to find out. Today's guest is a casual acquaintance of mine. - No. - Please welcome Tommy Dewey. - You are so quick with with a turn of phrase. - Oh yeah, my notes just say "Casual pun" over and over and over again. - Uh-huh. - It's like The Shining. - Yeah. - Now Tommy, we do have a lot in common. Our names, right off the bat. And we both went to Princeton. - What year were you? - Well, I didn't fully matriculate. I was only there for about two weeks before I got kicked out, and started living in the basement. - I've been to that basement. - Did you ever use the secret passage behind the gargoyle? - No! - I used it to sneak off to Hogsmeade, with my friends. - Alright. What was your area of interest? - You know, mostly charms, potions. - Mm, right. - Okay Tommy. Let's ca-aa-aa-aa-aa-aa-asually move on, to Who's Casual? - Yeah. - Now, what's Casual about? - It's a show that revolves around a very dysfunctional brother and sister pair. She's newly divorced, I'm a bit of a mess, and in the middle of it all, we're trying to help her daughter, my niece, make it through high school and get launched into adulthood. - Childhood is hard. I grew up in a British cupboard. - I'm so sorry. - And you grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. - Yep. - I hear you're into grilling and barbe-ma-cue. - Well yeah. And my range is limited, and it's a little on the nose for an Alabama guy to smoke meats, but I enjoy it. - I barbe-ma-cue sometimes, myself. - Does it make you uncomfortable when I talk about food? - Oh no. - Since you are food. - Well I mean Tommy, really, everyone is food. - Well, that's a good point. - We'll be right back. And welcome back. So, you're also the creator and writer of a show on Verizon's go90. - That's correct, called Now We're Talking, about two former NFL quarterbacks trying to get into the broadcasting game. But their outside egos are a little too much and they're terrible. - I could help write if you want. I actually have a lot of sports experience. - Yeah, what sports experience? - Oh, I was the coach of my Quidditch team. - Oh here we go with this again. - We got suspended though. Did you know you aren't supposed to throw games for money? - Mm-hmm. - Yeah, they're really touchy about it. - A lot of criminality in your past. - Oh there's more. I actually was arrested for trespassing at Hogwarts too. - Hmm! - Not the school, but the Universal Studios Theme Park Attraction. - Did you not buy a ticket? - Oh no no, I bought a ticket, but I figured if I stayed overnight, that's when the wizards come out to fix the rides that broke during the day. Not true. Turns out, it's a lot of feral cats. Now Tommy, when you were at Princeton, you attended the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. - I did. I was interested in international spying. - I believe James Bond also attended that program. - Right. - Now Tommy, I thought we'd play a little game with you just to see how much you remember about our 20-something-th president, Woodrow Wilson. - Oh wow! - In a game that we on this show like to call "Untitled Woodrow Wilson quiz." Guys, I can't find my fact sheet for the game, and I don't know anything about Woodlow Wilson. No ya know what, I'm gonna wing it. Question one. Woodrow Wilson was president? - That's correct. - Yes, true fact. Definitely president. Question two. Woodrow Wilson was made of fine aged birch wood? - Well, I do have a birch wood Woodrow Wilson, which you get upon graduation, but no, he was flesh and bone. - I've seen several photographs of Woodrow Wilson, Tommy, and I think that one is true. - That he is wooden? - Yes. - Great! - Question three. Woodrow Wilson is the focus of Tomas Taco's fan script, National Treasure, Part Three: Woodrow's Wood. - Well, I'm guessing that's true. - Yep, true! - Yep. - And I'm kind of lookin' to move past Nicolas Cage on this one. - Who you thinkin' about, for the part? - Maybe a Casual friend of mine, who maybe knows a lot about Woodrow Wilson, or maybe doesn't. It's very hard to know without the fact sheet. I can drop by your house with a script tonight, just leave the door unlocked. - We didn't give Tomas my address did we? - Now Tommy, one last Woodrow Wilson question. Wood you come with me to Universal Studios Wizarding World of Harry Potter? - Oh! - I've gotten really good at fending off feral cats. - Let's rain check that. - You sure? I got lock picks for both of us. - Just stay on the right side of the law. - Well, your loss. My guest today has been the star of Who's Casual, Tommy Dewey. - Thank you. - I'm a Hufflepuff.
