- Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. Oh I can't! - [Christian] Do it, do it, do it, do it, I did it! - [Julie] You did it? - Yeah. - Okay here we go. - [Christian] One. - Yeah, you count. You count. - [Christian] One, two, three, now. - Hey, I'm Julie. I'm an actress, professional goofball, and creator of the show Feeling Peckish. Action, thanks Julie. I'm headed to Mexico traveling solo for the first time with the hopes of conquering some of my biggest fears. Nope, nope, nope. What did I get myself into? Okay, tomorrow I leave for Mexico. I am so excited. I am also scared shitless. It is 3:28 in the morning. Let's go to Mexico. I decided that if I'm going to go ahead and do this. If I'm gonna face my fears, pixer didn't happen. There ya go, pic number one. I've never been one to travel by myself. I'm totally not good at it. I have planned things, and I am going to put myself out there, Tulum here I am. Holy, shit. This is for me? This is for me. We are at the Tulum ruins. I left with my good friend Christian, do you remember him? - Hey! - Yeah, he's the one that picked us up at the airport. Christian, how is your historical knowledge? - Uh, a little bit good. Not the best but I can say something... - Not a ton of confidence on that one. The one thing I do know is that this is kind of like a, like a really secure military fort. - Yeah. - Cause there's like ocean on one side, and there's supposedly like, that massive wall. - Yeah it's for security because this the, the center more important for the... - Trade. - For the trade. - Trade! My favorite thing about these ruins is just like imagining kind of like the people that came before. Like who used those stairs? I'm sure somebody like looked out that window at some point in time and was like god, Tim needs to cut his yard, because, it's getting out of control. - When Hernan Cortez come, right here in this part of... - Oh this is where he came in? Okay so, what did we learn? These ruins happen to be beautiful and gorgeous and the only ones in the area on a beach and, they happen to be the most important ruins in terms of trade for the ancient Mayans. But, they're not the only ruins in the area. Yo. This is a place called Coba. It's in the middle of the jungle and, we're gonna explore. I also think we might do some climbing. So that'll be an adventure, but let's go. Christian's showing off his cool new bike. I'm all get you in the shot here. Chris loves being on camera, and I just force it on him. - Okay, now we going to the principal temple here in Coba. - Did you say principal? Like the main. - The main, the principal, the master. - Yeah, no I get you. Whoa. - We got a clean balance, see the jungle, and another... - I don't know, maybe I'll watch you climb it. How 'bout that? - [Christian] Come on. - I'll watch you and I'll just be like hey, I hope you're having fun up there. We are whoa, whoa, whoa shit . Nope, no thank you. - Come on! - My body just entirely froze up. Whoo! Thank you! Thank you. Good lord. No, no more of that please. Whoo! Yeah, that was good, that was good. On our way back now. I'm ready for a drink. This evening got a little carried away. But it was great. Good morning! I'm in the truck right now and Chris is driving. We're in Tems Leon we have another friend to meet. A friend we're meeting today is this wonderful woman named Lilly. She's an amazing chef. We found Lilly! - Hey, how are you! - So today we are doing lots of food stuff. Lilly's got a ton planned for me. I love to eat, so that's gonna be great. And then of course, you've got your old friend. - Hey! - Classic joker. - Christian, Christian, Christian. - It's gonna be trouble, we're gonna be trouble. - We are in Ornorios, Ornorios wow! Ornorios a magical word ah? Ornorios is one of the most emblematic food in Tulum. If you come to Tulum, it's a must. Eat, eat my dear, let's go. - Wow, that is so tender. Smoky, wow. - It's smoky because it was cooked all night long. Underground just with the smoke. - Mmm. - No? Amazing. - Alright, what's next? - Okay, we are in Viva Mexico Cabrones, it's a very important restaurant in Tulum. They have barbacoa. Barbacoa is lamb cooked only in steam for about six hours, rubbed in agave. - So what are we doing here? - Okay, this is a the last stop that I want to show you. I want to show you how we cook on the beach in Tulum. In Mexico, . What does that mean? This girl has to be treated as a woman. With respect and and small sweet kisses. That way, friends forever, salud! - Salud. - Salud. Smoky . Well, great, you're a traveler... - Thank you! I'm lucky to have met you. Okay, one of the things that I really wanted to do coming here is, face some of my fears. Today, that is hitting maximum volume. We're gonna do some things today that I am 100 percent not comfortable with. So, enjoy the show. I don't think I know how to snorkel, I just realized. I think I know the theory, like I know the science behind it. - You need to stay and blow through those. - Like this is for breathing. - Yeah. - 'Kay. I inhaled a bunch of water . Chris how was that for you? - Good, really nice. - That was awesome. I ingested like a full liter of water but, it was worth it. - Ah man. The problem is that lots of step. - The problem is exactly the last step. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. Oh I can't! - [Christian] Do it, do it, do it, do it, I did it! - You did it? - Yeah. - Okay here we go. - [Christian] One, two, three. - Oh my god, I can't! - [Christian] One. - Yeah, you count. You count. - [Christian] One, two, three, now. - I felt my life flash behind my eyes!
