Cassava Donuts

Sugar Fix - "Tropical Treats"


  • 1.1 pound sour cassava starch
  • Salt
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 egg


  1. In a saucepan, boil 1 cup of water.
  2. Add starch and mix with the help of a spoon. Season with salt and let it cool.
  3. Knead the dough and add the oil gradually. Then, add the egg and the remaining water.
  4. Knead well until you get a smooth dough and transfer to a pastry sleeve.
  5. In a pan lined with parchment paper, arrange the donuts, widely spaced
  6. Preheat oven to 356 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
