- Hey, I'm Zoe Kelly. This is Bill, Neil and Beyonce. And welcome to the Kitchen Lab. This is a place where I'll be testing out some cool experiments, hacks and fun things that we've all seen online and letting you know if they're worth a try at home. So grab a lab coat and let's get to testing. Slime is a huge trend online right now, but I just found out that there's Starburst slime. What? Game changer, right? I mean, I already love Starburst, and I love slime, so when you combine the two, it's gonna be a party. I'm really excited to do this one, so let's get started. Alright, you guys have to go to the back. I need the space. Alright, so for this experiment, I'm gonna need a couple things, Starburst, 10X, AKA powdered sugar, and nonstick spray. Alright, I have everything I need. I have my double boiler going. It's nice and hot, and it's ready for my Starburst. Can we just be real for a second? Like, no one likes the yellow and orange. We're just not gonna use it, okay? Today we're focused on the good ones, AKA the pink ones. So we're gonna add a little bit in at a time, and it's slowly gonna start to melt. So about like six or so at a time. And while that's going, I'm gonna go ahead and prep my station. I said no one wanted you. So here I have some nonstick spray, and we're just gonna spray this down. And that's gonna help the Starburst slime not stick to everything while we're working with it. And now we just wait for the Starburst to melt. So now I'm gonna start introducing all the other ones, and the old ones are gonna help the new ones melt. Alright, so it's finally melted together. It's nice and sticky, and it smells super good. So I'm gonna go ahead and turn my burner off. And then very carefully 'cause my glass bowl is burning hot, gonna grab it and we're gonna dump our Starburst mixture onto our sheet tray. Woo, look at that. Already looks like slime. Sticky, sticky. Let me use my spoon. That'll probably help. Look at that. It's nice and sticky, and it smells so good already. Alright, so I have most of my mixture out of the bowl. So this is still very hot, so I don't wanna use my hands quite yet, but I kinda wanna start working it a little bit so it cools down. Spread it thin. Now that it's cool to the touch, I'm gonna go ahead and add my 10X, AKA a really fancy way of saying powdered sugar, and sprinkle it on. So then you wanna start folding it onto itself and kneading it through. So kinda stretch and just keep stretching it out. We almost have slime! Oh man! So the more powdered sugar you add, the thicker it's gonna be, so it kinda depends on what you want. Oh my gosh! Look at this! It doesn't feel like your regular slime. It feels a little tougher, but I'm not mad at it. I think this is it. I think we've officially made slime. Check that out. What? This is so much fun. I feel like I could play with this all day long. And then let me see flattening out. This is like what you wish Play-Doh was as a kid. Alright, let's go ahead and stretch it out. Oh yeah. And the best part is you can eat it. Mm, and then start over. Alright, so the consensus is in on our Starburst slime. Oh yeah. It's definitely worth a try at home. Not only is it super beautiful to look at, it smells good, fun to play with, but it's completely edible. How cool is that? It does take some time, so have patience. If you guys try the Starburst slime at home, make sure you tag me, and if you have any experiments that you want us to do here in the Kitchen Lab, make sure you tag Tastemade, I'll check 'em out. Thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you guys next time.
