- Hey, I'm Zoe Kelly. This is Bill, Neil, and Beyonce, and welcome to The Kitchen Lab. This is a place where I'll be testing out some cool experiments, hacks, and fun things that we've all seen online, and letting you know if they're worth a try at home. So, grab a lab coat and let's get to testing. I just saw the coolest video online, you guys. I just saw something called elephant toothpaste and I don't know about you, but I didn't even know elephants could brush their teeth, though that would make for a really, really funny picture. Either way, we're gonna make it today, I'm gonna try to see if it's just as cool as it looks online. It's supposed to be this, like, foam, shooting... Anyway, we're gonna figure it out and see, but first, let's go ahead and clear this kitchen. Yeah, sorry guys, you gotta go. Alright, I got rid of the kitchen table and that's because we're gonna need a lot of space, and in a second, you're gonna see why. So, let's talk about our supplies. Here, I have two giant vases and these are gonna serve as kinda, like, our elephant toothpaste holder. You'll see in a second. And then, we're gonna need a couple of ingredients. So here, I have hydrogen peroxide. This is a highly-concentrated solution, 35 percent, so I'm handling it with gloves, so be very careful. This is not the stuff that you find in drug stores. I'm gonna go ahead and add that in. Then, we're just gonna need some simple dish soap, I grabbed this from my kitchen. I'm gonna add that in as well, and this is gonna help trap all the bubbles, so you're gonna see that it's a foam. Here, I have some food coloring, I'm gonna add a few drops of it, and that's gonna give our elephant toothpaste a beautiful color because we like things pretty around here. Alright, and now, let's go ahead and stir the solution. Alright, safety first, guys, so go ahead and put your goggles on. You wish you looked this cool, don't you? Alright, and for our last and most important ingredient, just give me one second. Here, we have our catalyst, potassium iodide, and this is what's gonna make things go, boom. Alright, I'm pretty excited about this, I can't contain myself. Let's see what happens. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Oh my god. It's a foam party. Science. Woo. It's hot, guys. This is super cool. I'm literally speechless, I've never seen something, like, so gigantic, it really does look like toothpaste. You guys definitely have to try this at home. I mean, look how cool this is. When you do, make sure you tag me so I can see it, and if you have any experiments that you want us to do here in The Kitchen Lab, make sure you tag Tastemade and we'll check it out. I'll see you next time. What?
