Tiny Bagel & Lox

Even a tiny bagel with lox still needs a healthy schmear of cream cheese, capers, and onions.

Bagel & Lox


  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lukewarm water
  • Sesame seeds
  • To serve:
  • 2 teaspoons cream cheese
  • 1, 1-inch piece smoked salmon
  • 3 capers
  • 1 slice red onion


  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl and let sit covered for a few minutes.
  • Take a piece of dough and flatten a little, poke a hole in the middle and stretch it into a bagel shape or twist and form a bagel.
  • Boil for 5 seconds, then bake at 350°F for 5 minutes. Serve with cream cheese, lox, capers and onion.
