Tiny Carne Asada & Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 1 inch piece of skirt steak
  • 1/2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 slice jalapeño, chopped
  • 4 cilantro leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon avocado
  • 1 cilantro leaf, chopped
  • 1/4 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • Lime juice
  • Pico de gallo
  • Shredded lettuce

Steps

  • In a large bowl mix, garlic, jalapeño, cilantro, salt, pepper, lime juice, orange juice and oil. Add steak and marinate 4 to 6 hours.
  • Heat grill and cook steak for 8 minutes. Remove and let rest before slicing.
  • For the guacamole: Add all ingredients to the molcajete and mash to combine.
  • To assemble: Fill a tortilla with carne asada, and top with pico de gallo, guacamole
  • and shredded lettuce.
