Reupholstered Bench

Tia Mowry's Weekend Refresh - "A Bold & Bougie Blue Bedroom"

  • Pre-owned upholstered bench
  • Drill
  • Traditional drill bit
  • Staples
  • Staple gun
  • 4 hairpin legs
  • Screws
  • Fabric

  1. Remove any hardware from bench
  2. Take desired fabric and wrap each section of bench, leaving at least 2 inches of fabric that is able to be folded/wrapped around corners & edges of bench.
  3. Secure fabric to bench with a staple gun. TIP: Fold corners like you would when wrapping a gift so that the material won't fray. Always best to place staples closer together to make sure material stays put.
  4. Once fully wrapped & secured, turn bench upside down.
  5. Place hairpin legs flush to corners on bottom of bench.
  6. Drill pilot holes where screws will go in, when attaching legs to base of bench.
  7. After pilot holes are in place, attach legs with screws.
  8. Turn bench right side up and add any hinges & hardware you originally removed.
