I grew up in a very eclectic food environment, which was a strong Indian heritage, peppered with Spanish cuisine. My earliest memory of working with food was when I was about five years old, sitting on the front porch in India with my grandmother shucking peas that had been bought fresh that morning from the fruit and vegetable vendor that came by everyday.

Since that early memory, food has always been a constant in my life, the one thing that has made me happy, and what I have turned to in good times and bad. Now, as I have grown into the chef I am today, thinking and living food has helped mold me into the competitive and strong woman I am in and out of the kitchen.
