Join me as I share how to recreate my Nigerian restaurant's best selling dish - the Eko Combo. We’ll start with some Jollof Rice: a famous West African dish infused with peppers, tomatoes, chilies, and a signature seven-spice blend. The smoky rice pairs perfectly with Nigerian-style chicken that’s grilled to perfection and simmered in a spicy pepper sauce. Top it all off with some crispy fried plantains and you’ve got one deliciously spicy, smoky, sweet dish!
I created Eko Kitchen due to the lack of Nigerian cultural representation in San Francisco and developed a menu that brings the tastes of Lagos to not only feed the community but share my Nigerian culture, values, and cuisine with the city of San Francisco.
