Soni got her start in F&B working as a barista at the Honolulu Coffee Company as a teenager. She continued working with coffee through the years around Honolulu and eventually in NYC at Birch Coffee. After NYC, Soni and her husband Mark moved to the Big Island of Hawaii and opened Moon & Turtle in downtown Hilo. Along with running the restaurant, she is the house mixologist and enjoys creating cocktails with the abundance of fresh local ingredients available in Hilo.
