Diwali is India's biggest festival. It is called the festival of lights as the entire country celebrates it by lighting diyas. It is the time of the year to bring lots of laughter and love in our lives. We celebrate the special day with loads of sweets and gifts. There is a nip in the air. Autumn is here. It's time to buy persimmons and pumpkins. I am making Indian inspired sweets and chaat with local & seasonal ingredients (pomegranate, pumpkins, persimmons) for this pop-up meal. Spices and Aroma family is getting ready to celebrate this VERY special festival with you all. Come join me to celebrate Diwali with good food and loud music! We will be serving the dishes buffet style as we want to celebrate the festival with lots of people. The more, the merrier! It's KIDS FRIENDLY. So please bring your little one too!

Puran Puffs

Puran is a stuffing made with boiled lentils,cashews , jiggery and cardamom. They are stuffed inside whole wheat dough and deep friend or roll into a bread. For our Diwali party, I am making puffs with it.
Sev Papdi Chaat

Delicious Chaat will be made with finely sliced cabbage, cucumber, carrots and pomegranate and topped with sweet-spicy chaat chutneys
Gulkhand Rabri
Dessert
it is a rich dessert made by slow cooking milk until they become extremely creamy. I will be flavoring it with cardamom, saffron, rose petal jam and nuts
Pumpkin Truffles

Semolina is cooked with pumpkin puree and sugar and rolled into truffles
Tapioca Pearls Pudding
Dessert
Sago ( Tapioca Pearls) is cooked with milk and melted chocolate. Served with finely chopped persimmons
