This is home cooked Indian food from the state of Gujarat. These dishes are designed to keep your tastebuds wanting more and also to nourish your body. No curry powder here. All of the spices are roasted and ground fresh. We serve a lot of meat at California Chutney, but when I'm at home this is my favorite way to eat. You can make an endless combination of bites by mixing and matching soft breads, rich vegetables, and tangy pickles or spicy chutneys.

Bateta (Organic Russet Potato) sauteed in Ghee with Curry Leaves, Cumin Seeds, Organic Garlic, Organic Serrano Chili, Turmeric, Micro Cilantro. Bhinda (Organic Okra) sauteed in Organic Coconut Oil with Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Coriander Seeds, Onions, Organic Garlic, Jaggery Dust. Guvar (Cluster Beans) sauteed in Ghee with Ajwain, Organic Garlic, and Cumin. Ringan (Organic Eggplant) sauteed in Organic Coconut Oil, Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Curry Leaves, Organic Garlic and Organic Ginger.

Rotli rolled by hand and made from Whole Wheat Flour, Water, and Oil. Thepla rolled by hand and made from Whole Wheat Flour, Organic Serrano Chili, Organic Ginger, Organic Garlic, Turmeric Root. Papad made from Urad Dal, Hing, Chili, and White Pepper. Achaar made from Green Mango, Chili, Fenugreek Seeds, Mustard Seeds, Hing, and Mustard Oil. Organic Serrano Vagar with Fenugreek Seeds, Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Turmeric, Jaggery, Hing, and Lime.
Dal Bhaat
This is a light and savory soup with Toor Dal (Lentils) that touches on the essential Indian flavors. Sweet Jaggery, tart Lemon, spicy dried Chilis, and savory Mustard Seeds and Curry Leaves. Served with aromatic Basmati Rice.
Organic Citrus Shrikand
Creamy Yogurt strained with Jaggery, Cardamom, Orange, and Saffron. Dusted with Almond, Pistachio, and Cashew.
