Hello, I am Tambra Raye, founder of NATIVSOL KITCHEN (pronounced 'native soul'). Featured in the Washington Post, NATIVSOL will inspire you to come back home, cook with love and enjoy a meal that heals.

As the 2014 National Geographic's Traveler of the Year, I enjoy sharing my NATIVSOL which blends Nourishing African Traditions Including Values of Sustainability, Organic and Local with a touch of Spirituality, Oneness and Love (SOL).

Why did I join Feastly? I enjoy hosting and preparing delicious, flavor culinary menu reflective of my roots from Oklahoma to Africa. I have kept my culinary secrets between me and my friends. And now I wish to share them with the wider community of fellow foodies.

After teaching cooking classes and working in ethnic and sustainable restaurants, I was inspired to create a NATIVSOL supper club. Preparing healing comfort food that warms the belly and soothes the soul. I am a food hunter searching and discovering new food products and ingredients locally and globally.

Trained in culinary nutrition, I gained wonderful experiences chefs like Chef Hetzler of the Smithsonian American Indian Museum and home cooks in West and East Africa. Pairing ethnic gourmet and comfort together.

Named 2014 Nutrition Hero by Food and Nutrition Magazine, I am passionate about empowering people about the healing benefits and flavors of African heritage foods. I have given talks on the topic at USDA, Library of Congress and Georgetown. I serve as the advisor for the African Heritage and Health Program for Oldways Preservation Trust.

Blending my Oklahoma roots with my travels throughout the African diaspora, my native foods fare brings a flavor that has guests coming back for more.

I enjoy the pan African flavors from North to South and West to East Africa. And after spending time with me, I hope you will too! So I invite you to into my home for a taste of NATIVSOL.
