While most think of "laksa" as a noodle dish with spicy coconut broth, this menu features a lesser known laksa dish from the Food Capital of Malaysia - the partial island state of Penang on the northwestern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Asam Laksa (also spelled Assam Laksa) is repeatedly ranked one of the world's most delicious foods by CNN (Ref 2nd photo).

Boneless mackerel/ herring fish chowder, strong notes of sour tamarind, daun kesum (Persicaria odorata), fermented molasses shrimp paste.
