- Today I'm gonna show you the easiest shortbread recipe you'll ever see, and all you have to remember is one, two, three, shortbread. Let's get cooking. So we've got our one, two, three, one cup a sugar, two cups of butter, three cups of flour. Let's make some shortbread. So we're gonna start by creaming our butter and our sugar together. Just get our butter in there. And our butter is softened already. Butter in. Let's add our sugar. And let's cream. So, we'll start adding our flour in a little bit at a time. Start it slow. You don't want the flour to go everywhere. And that's it, so easy. Alright, set that aside. And we're just going to wrap this up nice and tight. And that is ready to go into the fridge to chill. So I've got my shortbread out of the fridge where it's been chilling, and we're gonna roll it out between two sheets of parchment, 'cause it does get a little bit sticky. We don't wanna add too much extra flour. Now that it's a little flatter, use our rolling pin. Roll that out and we're rolling it to about a quarter of an inch. Get that one lump out. You want it to be pretty uniform, so your cooking time is all the same. So we'll just peel off one layer. And we're gonna use little cookie cutter. I've got a baking sheet ready to go. And shortbread does expand, so we're not gonna put too many on our baking sheet. Let's go with six. And because you can roll this out again and use it again, don't worry about keeping the bits around all in one piece or anything like that. Alright, so we'll stick our cookies on our baking sheet. And these are gonna go in the oven just until they're beautiful and golden. But there we go, our cookies are on and they're ready to go into the oven. Okay, our shortbread are done. They smell amazing. Let's just carefully take them off our tray. And again, this recipe is so easy, I bet you already have flour and butter and sugar in your kitchen. You could go make this shortbread right now. I think this last cookie's for me. Go have fun cooking.
