Steps

  1. Vanilla and Chocolate wafer cones
  2. Preheat your waffle maker to a low medium heat. To make these waffles cones you’ll need a waffle cone shaper.
  3. Add the egg whites, both sugars, oil, bicarb soda, water, vanilla extract and salt into a mixing bowl. Use a whisk to whisk until really well combined. Add the flour and whisk to combine. Allow to sit for 10 minutes to allow the batter to thicken. This will result in sturdier waffle cones.
  4. Spray your preheated waffle maker with cooking oil and use a silicone brush to spread around. Add 2 tbsp of batter in the waffle maker and close. Cook for 60-90 seconds until golden brown.
  5. Use an offset spatula to take off the waffle maker and place on a clean kitchen towel. Wrap the very hot waffle disc around your waffle cone and then fold the towel over to give it time to set and harden as it cools down.
  6. To make the chocolate waffle cones it’s exactly the same method but you add cocoa powder in with the flour.
  7. Ice-cream Base
  8. Making each ice cream is really easy essentially starts off the same way.
  9. Begin by adding 800ml of cream into a large mixing bowl along with 1/2 cup powdered sugar, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Whisk until you reach stiff peaks using a hand held mixer.
  10. From here you can make your ice cream into any flavour you like.
  11. Rocky Road Ice-Cream
  12. Once you’ve made the ice cream base, use a spatula to fold in the remaining ingredients until well combined.
  13. Pour half the mixture into a loaf tin and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Then add the remaining ice cream mixture and drizzle with more chocolate sauce and mini marshmallows.
  14. Freeze overnight. Use an ice-cream scoop dipped in boiling water and dried with a towel to scoop the ice cream into the waffle cones. For this recipe I used a vanilla ice cream cone.
  15. Choc-Nana Ice-Cream
  16. To make this ice-cream you’ll need to add the cocoa power in with the powdered sugar. You’ll also need to add the slice bananas at the end and mix in using the hand mixer to help break them up a little.
  17. Pour half the mixture into a loaf tin and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Then add the remaining ice cream mixture and drizzle with more chocolate sauce.
  18. Freeze overnight. Use an ice-cream scoop dipped in boiling water and dried with a towel to scoop the ice cream into the waffle cones. For this recipe I used a chocolate ice cream cone.
  19. Breakfast Cereal Ice-Cream
  20. This one is really easy. Once you’ve made this ice-cream base, use a spatula to fold in the crushed breakfast cereal. Pour half of the mixture into a loaf tin, then sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles. Add the remaining mixture and finish with more sprinkles.
  21. Freeze overnight. Use an ice-cream scoop dipped in boiling water and dried with a towel to scoop the ice cream into the waffle cones. For this recipe I used a vanilla ice cream cone.
