These Minion twinkies, Minion chocolate bark, and Minion chocolate strawberries are far from despicable!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup blue candy melts, melted
  • Pretzels
  • 2 cups yellow candy melts, melted
  • Candy eyeballs
  • Blue and yellow jelly beans
  • Blue and yellow sprinkles

Steps

  1. Spread the blue candy melts onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Top with pretzels, then cover with the yellow candy melts, spreading until smooth.
  3. Decorate the bark with candy eyeballs, jelly beans and sprinkles.
  4. Place the bark into the fridge until firm, about 20 minutes. Break into pieces and enjoy!

Ingredients

Twinkie Batter

  • 4 large eggs, roughly beaten
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • Yellow food coloring

Filling

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons marshmallow fluff

Coating

  • Yellow candy melts, melted
  • Blue candy melts, melted
  • Vegetable shortening, melted
  • Black candy melts, melted
  • Candy eyeballs

Steps

Twinkie Batter

  1. Combine the eggs and butter in a large bowl.
  2. Add the water, pudding mix, cake mix and yellow food coloring.
  3. Divide the batter between a greased and floured twinkie pan.
  4. Bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean.
  5. Cool them in the pan for 5 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
  6. Slice the bottoms off the twinkies to create flat bottoms.

Filling

  1. Beat the butter with an electric mixer until fluffy.
  2. Add the confectioner's sugar, whipping cream, vanilla extract and marshmallow fluff and beat until well combined.
  3. Place in a piping bag fitted with a large, round tip.

Coating

  1. Stick the piping bag into the bottoms of the twinkies and squeeze to fill the twinkies with filling.
  2. Add enough melted vegetable shortening to the yellow and blue candy melts until they become a thinner consistency.
  3. Dunk the twinkies into the yellow candy melts and transfer to a wire rack. Allow the yellow candy melts to harden.
  4. Dunk the twinkies half way into the blue candy melts. Allow the candy melts to fully harden.
  5. Place the black candy melts into a piping bag fitted with a small, round piping tip.
  6. Draw the pocket of the overalls, goggle straps, black dollops for the eyes and hair onto the twinkies.

  • Yellow, blue, purple and black candy melts, melted
  • Purple sprinkles
  • Candy eyeballs

Steps

  1. To make a minion, dip a strawberry into yellow candy melts. Transfer to a plate lined with parchment paper and allow the candy melts to harden. Dip the strawberries half way into blue candy melts, to create the overalls.
  2. Place the black candy melts in a piping bag fitted with a round piping tip and pipe goggles onto the yellow section, making large black dollops where the eyes will be. Stick the candy eyeballs onto the black dollops and hold in place for a couple seconds, until they stick.
  3. Allow the candy melts to harden and enjoy!
  4. To make an evil minion, dip a strawberry into purple candy melts. Transfer to a plate lined with parchment paper and allow the candy melts to harden. Paint a stripe of purple candy melts onto the top of the strawberry and sprinkle purple sprinkles on top.
  5. Dip the strawberries half way into black candy melts, to create the overalls.
  6. Place the black candy melts in a piping bag fitted with a round piping tip and pipe goggles onto the yellow section, making large black dollops where the eyes will be. Stick the candy eyeballs onto the black dollops and hold in place for a couple seconds, until they stick.
  7. Allow the candy melts to harden and enjoy!
