Corn Poached in Milk With Honey and Thyme


  • 4 ears of corn
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup honey, plus more for drizzling
  • 5 sprigs thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Butter for serving
  • Honey for drizzling


  1. Heat the butter in a medium-large sized pot. Add the onion and sauté until soft.
  2. In a large pot, add water, milk, honey, thyme sprigs and salt; bring to a boil. Add corn and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  3. Remove corn and serve with butter, a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of sea salt.
