Chicken Meatballs

Switch up meatball night with this zesty, creamy, pasta and chicken meatball recipe.


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 10 ounces ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup bacon, minced
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice of bread, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon wheat flour
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped


  1. Add olive oil to a saute pan over medium heat, and saute onion and garlic until golden. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, add the chicken, bacon, salt and black pepper. Stir to combine. Add the sauteed onion and garlic, egg, bread and breadcrumbs. Stir until well incorporated.
  3. Shape mixture into small balls, and sear the meatballs in a hot frying pan coated in olive oil. Set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt the butter, add the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add the chicken stock, and cook until flour is completely dissolved. Stir in heavy cream, lemon zest, salt and pepper, and cook until creamy. Add the meatballs, sprinkle with parsley, and serve over fettuccine.
