Asian Burger with Sriracha Mayo

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • ⅓ cup sliced scallion

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce

  • ⅓ cup panko

  • 1 Tbsp oyster sauce

  • ¼ tsp white pepper

  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil

  • ¼ cup carrot, julienned

  • ¼ cup red cabbage, thinly sliced

  • ¼ cup daikon sprouts

  • 1 ½ tsp Sriracha

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

  • 4 burger buns

  • 4 leaves red lettuce

Let's get Cooking...

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, scallion, and garlic.

  2. In a small bowl, soak soy sauce, panko and oyster sauce to a paste.

  3. Mix paste into meat mixture. Season with white pepper and combine.

  4. Form 4 patties and let sit to room temperature.

  5. Toss carrot, cabbage and cucumber together and season with a dash of soy sauce.

  6. In a small bowl, stir Sriracha into mayonnaise and set aside.

  7. Heat skillet to medium heat. Cook patties for about 5 minutes per side.

  8. Toast buns if desired. To assemble, spread a thin layer of Sriracha mayo on bun, place lettuce on bottom bun, then burger patty followed by carrot slaw. Drizzle Sriracha mayo over the top.
