Baked Apple Crumbles
It's not against the rules to keep one – or two — of these sugary, crunchy baked apple crumbles for yourself.
Ingredients
- 4 red apples
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons oat flour
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
- 1/3 cup water
- Vanilla bean ice cream
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut and core the apples, making sure not to scoop through the bottom. Place in a baking dish.
- In a medium mixing bowl, mix together the oats, flour, coconut sugar, pecans and coconut oil. Scoop mixture into apples.
- Pour water in the bottom of the baking dish, and bake apples for 30 to 40 minutes until apples are tender but not mushy.
- Top each apple with vanilla bean ice cream.
