Bircher Muesli With Warm Strawberry Sauce

Strawberry sauce and chia seeds help start your day right.


  • 2/3 cup oats
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 lemon juice plus zest
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 250 grams strawberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup


  1. The oats the night before by mixing the oats, coconut milk, lemon juice, zest, chia seeds and honey in a jar. Leave in the fridge overnight.
  2. Roughly cut up the strawberries, heat in a pan (add a bit of water to begin with so it doesn't burn), add the vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, sea salt and maple syrup and heat for 5-10 minutes depending on the size of the stawberries.
  3. Assemble the oats with the warm sauce.
