  • For the donuts:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • For the glaze:
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk
  • Rainbow sprinkles

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar together.
  2. In another bowl, combine milk, yogurt, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, and stir well. Using a spatula, gently fold the sprinkles into the batter.
  3. Use a piping bag to fill each well of a greased 6-cup donut pan. Fill about 3/4 of the way.
  4. Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until the lightly browned and when a toothpick comes out clean when inserted. Remove from oven and transfer to a rack to cool.
  5. Meanwhile, in a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, salt, and 1 tablespoon of milk. Add some additional milk, if the consistency is too thick. Heat in the microwave until slightly warmed.
  6. Once the donuts have cooled, dip in the warm glaze and set aside on the rack. Immediately top with sprinkles and allow the glaze to set.
